About Kinasao

In the heart of Saskatchewan's lakeland, set deep into the trees, is a place set apart for people to gather together to learn, to grow, and to experience life more fully. That place is Kinasao, and the time to experience it is now.

Kinasao is a Cree word which means "fish" which is an ancient symbol of Christian unity. It is recognized as the name of a place where people come together in peace and faith. Indeed, such is our mission:

As a Lutheran Ministry, Kinasao proclaims the gospel of Christ by providing the opportunity to discover, share, strengthen and renew the Christian Faith in a natural setting in God's creation.

Kinasao is owned and operated by the Kinasao Lutheran Bible Camp Association which draws its members from the membership of Lutheran congregations throughout Saskatchewan. Since 1940, this place of ministry has existed on the shore of scenic Christopher Lake, serving for many years everyone seeking the splendour of God's creation.
