Kinasao Lutheran Bible Camp is an independent, inter-Lutheran ministry, committed to serving all Lutheran churches, as well as providing facilities and support to other congregations and groups for the betterment of their own programs.

Membership in Kinasao is open to all congregations within the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, the Lutheran Church-Canada and the Church of the Lutheran Brethren-Canada, who agree to fully support Kinasao as a ministry directed by its mission statement, purpose and Statement of Faith. Membership is obtained by sending a written request for membership to the camp, or by making a financial donation to the camp on an annual basis. Membership is granted for the one calendar year in which the request or donation is received, and must be renewed annually.

As a member of Kinasao, your congregation will receive a copy of our annual report each spring and are requested to send at least one delegate as a voting member to the Kinasao Annual General Meeting in March. All voting members of your congregation have the right to attend and have voice and vote at the AGM and are eligible to serve on the Board of Directors and/or to hold a lease on Kinasao property.

Kinasao is committed to supporting the congregational ministry of our member churches. We
encourage you to hold congregational events here at the camp. Some examples of events churches hold here at Kinasao are Church Council training and work weekends, young adult, youth or family retreats, Sunday School picnics, men’s and women’s study groups, topical or recreational events and Confirmation or membership instruction weekends. We also appreciate when congregations lead a Sunday worship service here during the summer! We would be happy to hear what type of event would enhance your ministry and to work with you in making it happen here at Kinasao.

Kinasao also offers a number of programs for your congregation and members to participate in. Annual Confirmation camps, family camps, youth and adult camps, and retreats for all ages are great ways for individuals and families to grow together in community and to strengthen and renew their faith. Member congregations receive information about all programs offered at Kinasao throughout the year.

We also ask our member congregations to support the ministry of Kinasao in a number of ways. Most importantly, we ask for prayer for the ministry, the staff and the participants here at Kinasao. We also ask that you promote the camp and its programs through displaying the materials sent to your church and announcing events as they come up, and encouraging and coordinating members of your congregation to attend camp events. We also encourage churches to support the camp through sending volunteers to help out and by making financial donations toward the work of Kinasao.
