Site Manager
The position of Site Manager is a full time position and will require that this person live on or very near the camp property and be available whenever groups are using the camp facilities. The primary areas of responsibility are Guest Services, Project Coordination and Property Maintenance. These duties will be shared with an Assistant to the Site manager as mutually agreed upon.
- The Site Manager position is a hospitality position which means this person will be the one whom all rental groups will interact with, the one who prepares and maintains the Camp for all visitors.
- The schedule will be based on the use of the camp, which means working many weekends, probably a Thursday-Monday type work week most of the year
- The Site Manager will be required to be on site and on call whenever people are on the property unless prior arrangements are made for coverage. This will include odd and/or extended hours at times, and May-August will be exceptionally busy
- This person will be expected to participate in and assist in leading certain camp programs
- They will participate as a member of the summer staff team attending staff meetings and events
- They will supervise certain summer staff members and volunteers
Guest Services duties include:
- Hosting of all rental groups throughout the year
- Housekeeping before and after all guest groups
- Kinasao is host to 45-50 groups throughout the year. We provide housekeeping before and after each group, and meal service for about half of them.
Project and Volunteer Coordination duties will include:
- Assisting in planning all of our building, property, systems and equipment development projects
- Designing or acquiring designs for given projects
- Obtaining quotes for all materials and labor for projects
- Contacting, coordinating and supervising volunteers to assist with projects
- Working within given budgets for each project
- Evaluating and reporting on development projects
Property Maintenance duties will include:
- Maintenance of, and repairs to, all buildings, equipment, vehicles and water, septic and electrical systems. Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting are always ongoing.
- Property maintenance such as clearing roads, cutting lawns, removing trees, clearing trails, etc.
- Supervising summer maintenance and housekeeping staff and volunteers who assist with these duties
- The Site Manager must have an active faith in Jesus Christ and seek to honor God in all areas of their life.
- Candidates interested in this position must have the gift of hospitality, exhibiting exceptional interpersonal skills. They must have the ability to work independently, and take pride in keeping things clean and presenting an inviting facility. They must be willing to report to and take direction from a supervisor.
- Interested candidates must have skills and experience in construction and design, with a working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, water and septic systems. They must also be organized and able to keep accurate records of their work and the associated expenses.
- Candidates must have clear communication skills and must be able to attract, direct and supervise volunteers and be able to work well with contractors and trades.
- The Site Manager must positively represent Kinasao in both public and private situations.
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience is required.
- The Site Manager reports directly to the Executive Director.

- Start date for this position will be September 7, 2010.
- Range of compensation may be obtained by contacting the Executive Director. Housing (if needed) and a full benefits and pension package is provided.
